Vidal Guzman
Vidal Guzman is an abolitionist, entrepreneur, and author, serving as the Executive Director and Board Treasurer of America On Trial Inc. He leads the #AIRS Campaign, #FixThe13thNY, and the End Qualified Immunity NY Campaign.
Raised in Harlem, Vidal was arrested at 16 and later incarcerated for five years. After his release, he turned his experience into advocacy, becoming a leading voice for criminal legal reform. As an organizer with JustLeadershipUSA, he helped secure $391 million in community investments through NYC’s 2019 Close Rikers plan. Committed to systemic change, Vidal continues to fight for justice, equity, and the dismantling of oppressive systems.

Hyisheem Shabazz Calier
Hyisheem Shabazz Calier, a graduate with MSW & JD degrees, blends legal expertise with social work and musical expression. A dedicated community-oriented professional and AOT Board Member.

Dylan Hayre
Dylan Hayre is the National Advocacy and Campaigns Director at the Fines and Fees Justice Center, an AOT Board Member, and a philanthropic advisor. He leads efforts to reform fines and fees and works with national partners to promote a fairer justice system. Dylan has previously directed criminal justice initiatives at Arnold Ventures, worked on clemency and death penalty repeal at the ACLU, and led policy analysis at JustLeadershipUSA. A former Massachusetts prosecutor, he later ran his own defense practice and advised political campaigns. Dylan holds a law degree, a master’s in education, and a bachelor’s in mathematics from Boston College.

Ebony T. Soy
Ebony T. Soy is an illustrative storyteller, published author, and dedicated advocate for community engagement and social justice. With over a decade of experience in mentorship, public service, and nonprofit work, she has supported underserved communities, Veterans, and marginalized artists. As an Air Force Veteran and former case manager, she has worked extensively in crisis intervention and advocacy. Her career also spans the creative sector, where she has illustrated for indie comic book publishers, exhibited in galleries, and promoted accessible art initiatives. Ebony holds a BBA and brings her leadership, strategic planning, and passion for equity to her role on the AOT Board of Director
